Tim Nash was Bobby Nash's father, who was also a fire captain.

History[]

Bobby's alcoholism stemmed from his own father's issues with alcohol. In 1981, Tim was given a medal and at the party, he gave Bobby his glass of alcohol and allowed him to drink from it. Tim also had some anger issues that was heightened with his drinking, which made his wife and oldest son, Charlie, leave the house.[2] Bobby refused to go with them, even after Tim slapped Charlie, because he looked up to him.

One night, Bobby accidentally caused a fire, but there was no fire extinguisher to put it out. At this point, Tim was also skipping work, being too drunk to do so. He was enraged with Bobby for calling 9-1-1 because he could be fired due to his alcoholism, so he threw away a scrapbook his son had made for him. Tim had drunkenly stumbled over himself and had fallen, hitting his head on a side table. He died from the fall, with Bobby finding him awhile later. To cope with his father's death, Bobby pours himself a glass of his dad's liquor.

Later as an adult, Bobby hallucinates his father in his kitchen, apologizing for not being able to save him.
