Sam Egan is a minor character from 9-1-1 and is Abby Clark's fiancé. His only appearance is in the third season finale when he is involved in a trail derailment and needs to be rescued.[1]

He has two daughters, Tess and Natalie.

History[]

After Abby left Los Angeles, she had met Sam during her travels. They eventually became a couple and then engaged. Abby and Sam returned to the states and head to L.A. on a train, however it derails causing a major crash. Abby calls in the accident and Station 118 are dispatched to the scene. She reunited wih her ex-boyfriend, Buck, and he is shocked she's engaged to someone else. Buck promises to bring Sam back to her safely, despite their unresolved issues.

Sam and another passenger are trapped under a beam, and the firefighters are having difficulty finding a way to get them both out. Buck reveals to Bobby and Eddie that he had promised Abby he would save Sam. They eventually are able to rescue both of them and Sam is taken to the hospital for his injuries with Abby by his side.[1]
