Roz McLeod worked in a laboratory as a microbiologist where she later meet fellow colleagues Moira Blake and Allen Reid. While working as a microbiologist, Roz became aware of the corruption with Moira and her boss but she couldn't do much as any whistleblowing can result in a loss of a job and reputation. In Sick Day, Roz arrived at work with her fellow colleague. She was furious at Moira for taking shortcuts in speeding up the incubation period of the CCHF virus. Roz was trapped in the laboratory when Moira set it on fire which called the 118 and later the U.S. Army to the scene. She was rescued by firefighters, Evan Buckley and Howard Han. When her boss, Francis Banting tried to make her sign an NDA, she adamantly refused and told Athena Grant-Nash and Buck what was truly happening to cooperating in giving the code for the antiviral of the virus only for the antiviral was already stolen by Moira.
