Rock the Boat is the second episode of the seventh season of 9-1-1, and the ninety-eighth episode overall. It aired on March 21, 2024.

Synopsis[]

The disastrous cruise continues when Bobby and Athena respond to the ship's explosion, racing to aid injured passengers. Meanwhile, Hen questions her instincts in a life-taking call and grows concerned about Athena and Bobby's whereabouts.^[1]

Trivia[]

Athena and Bobby have been married for 4 years.
95,000 gallons of water were used in the tank during filming of the scene where Bobby and Athena were trapped in the bilge room as it filled up with water.^[2]

Cultural References[]

Karen makes a reference to the SS Minnow during her conversation with Hen. The SS Minnow was a fictional ship that appeared in the TV series Gilligan's Island (1964-1967)
Jarod asks if an iceberg has hit the cruise ship, referencing the real life Titanic disaster which occurred in 1912.
The episode's title makes a reference to the 2001 Aaliyah song "Rock The Boat". Coincidentally, at the end of the music video's filming, Aaliyah died in a plane crash at the age of 22.
