Trivia[]
- Claudette dies on the way to the hospital after being left in the quiet room with May Grant during the call center fire. May is able to get Claudette out of the building, and at triage, Hen treats her for smoke inhalation. Hen is shocked later when Claudette is pronounced dead, because she was fine when she left triage. Jonah claims that Claudette's "pressure bottomed out" on the way to the hospital and went into cardiac arrest while in the ambulance, although Hen would later discover the death as an act of Jonah’s sabotage. This is the last appearance of Vanessa Estelle Williams as Claudette Collins.
- This episode features multiple resonances and callbacks to previous episodes and prior incidents in characters' lives: Howard Han has a scare with Albert Han while venting the roof that mirrors the death of Kevin Lee; Robert Nash is terrified to discover that his step-daughter May Grant is in danger during the call center fire in an incident that mirrors the deaths of his family; and Claudette Collins confronts her biggest fear, dying in a fire, which apparently had happened to her before.
- In addition, Josh Russo asks Sue Blevins if his new love interest, Carson, has been through a background check before pursuing him, referencing the events of Fools.
- The dispatch center that had been used since Season 2 was completely destroyed by a fire, and it had to be relocated temporarily for the rest of Season 5 until repairs were made. The renovated dispatch center is seen for the first time in the Season 6 premiere "Let the Games Begin".
