Mara Driskell is the former foster daughter of Hen and Karen Wilson, and is currently in a foster placement with Howie and Maddie Han.
History[]
Mara's parents overdosed when she was a child. The authorities found her parents dead after a 9-1-1 call from Mara reporting that her parents wouldn't wake up. The call is referenced later on in the episode when Hen and Karen listen to the recording of the call and discover that is why Mara watched them while they slept, as Mara feared that they would not wake up like her parents.[1]
Hen and Karen later learn from Denny and their social worker Diedra that Mara has a half-brother named Tyson. Tyson's father Vincent, who had an affair with Mara's mother, is reluctant to let Tyson visit Mara. However, Tyson's step-mother Juanita later has a change of heart and brings him over to the Wilson house, where Mara and Tyson are reunited for the first time in several years.[2]
