Lou Ransone is a detective for the Los Angeles Police Department, who Athena Grant occasionally assists.

In Panic, Lou is attacked by one of the several women Jeffrey Hudson manipulated, while trying to bring the serial rapist back to jail. He had his throat slit and ended up dumped in a park where some kids found him. He was brought to the hospital in Desperate Times where he spent 5 days with no idea, only coming to long enough to request Sgt Athena Grant. Later in the episode he wakes up fully and gives Athena the last piece in the puzzle to catch Jeffrey.
