Jonah Greenway is a serial killer and former paramedic who briefly filled in for Chimney at Station 118 of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

History[]

Early Life[]

When he was 13 years old, Jonah was an aspiring writer and talented drawer but was regarded as weird due to the subject manner that he drew, (a gory sketch of the French revolution beheading) One day, he saved a school bus driver who had a heart attack behind the wheel, in the process saved his peers who saw him in a new light and he was deemed a hero by both the school and the city for many years.

Obsessed with the praise and attention it brought, he became a paramedic and wanted to keep basking in the glory of a hero by nearly killing his patients and then saving them at the last minute. However, he got sloppy with his methods and killed a couple of people with his mishaps, so he moved around to avoid the authorities should they get suspicious. He worked as a paramedic in Chicago, Miami, Dallas, and Denver before working at the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Working at the 118[]

Jonah was one of the people whom Bobby assigned to work as Hen's partner in Chimney's absence. During his first shift with Hen, he was nicknamed "Monday", since there is a new one of him every shift. When he came back the following day, Jonah made a joke to her that he was more of a "Tuesday". However, Hen told him that he was just a temp, and not to get comfortable.

Later on, during a conversation with Hen, Jonah told her that he was nervous because working at the 118 and working with her is the assignment everybody wants, and he was worried that he wouldn't keep up. He also told her that he wasn't trying to replace Chimney and only wanted to earn her respect and trust. With this, Hen warmed up to him a bit for his humility.

After a few shifts, Jonah was officially welcomed to the 118 as a new paramedic, along with Lucy, who also joined the team. However, he only briefly worked at the 118 due to Chimney's return, and he was transferred to Station 133 by Bobby.

Arrest[]

Hen started getting suspicious of Jonah when dispatcher Claudette Collins died unexpectedly after she was left alone with him. With the help of Chimney, Hen started investigating and dug up Jonah’s past, and started informing others like Bobby, Athena, and Buck. They learned about his childhood heroics and several other patients who mysteriously died on Jonah's watch. After Jonah discovered that Hen had reported him, he kidnapped both her and Chimney. Jonah tortured them by nearly killing Chimney but he was able to survive. However, Hen was able to stall long enough for Chimney to stun Jonah with a defibrillator, while Karen and Maddie, noting the two missing, tipped off the emergency services. As Athena and Bobby also arrived at the scene, the latter punches Jonah several times out of rage for his actions before Athena and the officers stopped him.

Jonah showed no ill will towards his arrest even smiling about it.
