9-1-1 Wiki

Jack Tatum is a character on FOX's 9-1-1: Lone Star. He is the Captain of Station 129 of the Austin Fire Department. He debuted in the fourteenth episode of the second season and is portrayed by guest star Jack Conley.

History[]

In season 3, episode 10, "Parental Guidance" he appears to be suffering from Dementia, after forgetting a quote he knew by heart at Lt. Derby's funeral, forgetting that he asked Mateo Chavez to pick him up from a bar, and forgetting he promoted Chavez to Lt. to replace Derby, after he was killed in an apartment fire.

Chavez arrives at the 129 firehouse only for Tatum to say "What are you doing here, Grunt?!" Before being reminded that Tatum promoted Chavez.

A few firefighters are seen playing pool, and Tatum gets annoyed they are being too loud, and yells at them to be quiet.

Chavez walks over and Tatum stats the quarterly reports are due, and he is stressed over them. Chavez noticed that Tatum got the quarterly reports mixed up with take out menus, and offers to do it himself, stating, "That's what Lieutenants do"

9-1-1 receives a call from a factory used to bottle spices, the 129 are first on scene and Tatum says he doesn't want anyone on the roof as it is unstable and can go at any minute.

However, when the 126 arrives, Tatum tells them the exact opposite, much to Chavez's disagreement. Tatum yells that he never said that and for the 126 and the 129 to follow his orders, shortly before the roof explodes.

Marjan Marwani states to Chaves that she "gets it now" after an earlier conversation where Chavez asked if it's the right thing to do and if it's his place to say something, but Marwani thinks he is talking about what happened between her and Paul Strickland.

Chavez brings up his concerns to Captain Stand. Strand says as Chavez friend, he recommends reporting it, but as his Captain, he requires it.
