"In the Unlikely Event of an Emergency" is the eighth episode of the third season of 9-1-1: Lone Star and the thirty-second episode overall. It aired on February 28, 2022.
Synopsis[]
When TK's mother, Gwyn, has an emergency, Owen and TK travel to New York. But the flight is anything but smooth when the plane experiences a mechanical failure. Meanwhile, TK reflects back on when Gwyn helped get him into rehab years ago.

- This episode marks the final appearance of Lisa Edelstein as Gwyneth Morgan, although she did appear in a hallucination in "A Bright and Cloudless Morning".
- The episode opens with the 911 call from the bicycle rider who rode into Gwyn and it is shown as blue soundwaves instead of orange to represent a new city.
- Gwyn died on Broadway South 114th Street.
- At the end of the 911 call, we hear a baby cry which would have been Jonah.
- The flashbacks to Gwyn and T.K. in New York are set in 2017, which is 3 years prior to the first season of the show.
- This is the first time we hear Carlos say 'I love you' to T.K.
- T.K. had elephants on a mobile above his crib, when he was a baby living in an apartment on 86th Street.
- T.K. was working at the 252 during the time of the 2017 flashbacks and would be approximately 22/23.
