"Hold the Line" is the third episode of the second season of 9-1-1: Lone Star and the thirteenth episode overall. It serves as the crossover episode with 9-1-1. It aired on February 1, 2021.

Synopsis

As a wildfire spreads across Texas, Evan "Buck" Buckley, Henrietta "Hen" Wilson and Eddie Diaz from the 118 firehouse in Los Angeles arrive in Austin to help Capt. Strand and the 126. As the crews race to save a group of teenagers trapped by the fire at a campground, Owen and Hen fight for their lives in the aftermath of a helicopter crash.

• The title of this episode was first announced on Twitter by Ronen Rubinstein on November 25th 2020.
• Prior to the episode title reveal, Ronen Rubinstein, Brian Michael Smith and Oliver Stark posted promotional photos of the episode on November 22, 2020 on each of their Instagrams.
• Mateo mentions Marvin, his cousin who is in prison back in LA. Julian Works portrayed the character in 9-1-1, who was arrested in "7.1" for theft and fleeing officers.

Continuity

• A week has passed since the events of "2100°", as mentioned by TK.
• Tim Rosewater's funeral was held on the day of this episode, as Owen references the crew couldn't make it except for Tommy. He was previously killed in a freak accident in "2100°" where lava debris from the volcano struck him.
• Buck, Hen and Eddie traveled 20 hours driving to Texas in their station's fire truck, directly following the ending of "Future Tense".
• Many episodes from both 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 Lone Star were referenced.
