911 Cases[]

Stuck Child

  • Reason for 911 Call:
    • No call was made on-screen.
  • Process:
    • Buck rushes to the scene and finds a little girl stuck in a claw machine. He opens it easily with a cordless screwdriver and is praised by those nearby, and additionally gives the girl a toy cow. After he's done, he wanders the pier and chats with Abby on the phone about full moons, ending with him asking her to call back when the shift ends.

Suspicious Person

  • Reason for 911 Call:
    • Nora Curtis dialed after observing the silhouette of a suspicious person outside.
  • Process:
    • Abby tries to get Nora to describe the perpetrator, whose face cannot be seen. Nora has a panic attack, causing Athena, Hen and Chimney to respond. Chimney and Hen attend to the caller whereas Athena begins searching around the premises. Nora describes to the paramedics that the perp has vanished when they are present, and they assume she doesn't actually have a heart attack. They try to calm her and regulate her breath, until Hen is briefly spooked by Chimney's reflection. Athena comes in, reporting no findings, but Hen remains suspicious as countrary to the lack of footprints, there were muddy marks in the room. They assume whatever prowler this is must have been actually inside the house but did not attack, either spooked by the 911 call or wasn't even intenting that. Due to these circumstances, Athena advises Nora to call for some company, as the 118 are summoned to a hotzone and may require police escort, leaving only one other officer at the scene.

Home Invasion

  • Reason for 911 Call:
    • Kathy Blake barricaded herself in her house against an unknown intruder.
  • Process:
    • Abby tries to send reinforcements and assure Kathy they are on the way. However, before they cound arrive, the caller appears to be killed, shocking Abby. Homidice Detective Marks visits the dispatch center and hears the incident recording, though he is unable to derive anything useful as the perpetrator's sound is drown out. He also specifies the suspect was the caller's ex-husband, now detained, and while he has a record of violence as well as protection orders against him, they cannot link him to this case. Marks leaves, and Abby gets a collegue Terry to recover any information regarding calls from this address. Comparing the retent and past calls, Abby realized that Trent McConnell, the ex-husband, may be unconnected to this crime. Marks and the operators meet again, but he still cannot determine if Abby's conslusions were right, as external factors may have came into play, even if she can't recognize the attacker. Abby is convinced the real attacker isn't Trent, but Mark cannot prove it as well. The two others in the room leave, though Terry does believe there is some disrepancy. They discover that on one of the earlier calls, another woman is inside Kathy's room, who they may find for more clues. To this end, Abby dials Athena, who reveals the other witness might be Nora Jane Curtis, daughter of Nora Curtis. Abby gets on the line with Nora Jane and discovers Kathy ran a domestic violence victim support group, while also sheltering Nora Jane from her ex-husband which might as well as be the attacker who killed Kathy. When the two exchange information, Nora Jane spots the attacker from inside so she quickly hides her mother. The man bursts in, but was lured away by Nora, and Nora Jane smashes him to death. Mark apologizes to Abby in person as she turned out to be correct, and also reveals the suspect got the address by murdering Kathy and stealing her PC, though he did not have the nerve to harm Nora Curtis.

Yoga Pregnancy

  • Reason for 911 Call:
    • No calls were made on-screen.
  • Process:
    • Buck and Bobby arrive, both discussing if full moon is scientifically proven or merely folklore. They were led into a yoga session where Jackie, a surrogate mother, is entering labor and stuck in a locust position. The remaining women make way for the two, and they discover no foul vital signs. Bobby determines Jackie slipped a disc as she is feeling pain in her arms legs, but mostly in the butt, thigh and calf, so he and Buck must reposition her carefully. Beth, who is 38 weeks into pregnancy, screams due to contractions, and Bobby walks over to assist while Buck handles the rest. He gets Beth some water, citing the pain would end once they get her relaxed and hydrated. A third woman's water breaks and Bobby gets Buck to dial reinforcements while sorting out the new incident. Buck soon realized Beth's contractions are too rapid for safe transport and must give birth on the spot, which he can handle. A 4th woman goes into labor as well and Buck panics, though Bobby assures he will assist. The instructor repeats the full moon's influence and regrets having the session, though Bobby dismisses Buck's conversation, who instead directs all other women to remain outside so they have enough room to operate. As this occurs, Bobby reports further and summons more transport units, then gets Buck to fetch a towel while Beth is pushing and the baby girl comes out successfully. They then split off to assist the remaining ones, though the third reminds Buck she doesn't need much assistance. Bobby discovers the 4th woman is experiencing cephalopelvic disproportion, meaning the baby's head is too large to fit through and can only be extracted at a hospital. Just then, reinforcements arrive, and the woman asks for her husband. Bobby assures her they can call him on the ambulance. Buck unsuccessfully tries to amuse the women, and throws the full moon question out to Bobby again, who denies as always, instead blaming it on Buck's idiocy. Before they depart, Bobby briefs St. Matthews in advance.

Cannibal Attack

  • Reason for 911 Call:
    • The caller saw a man behaving abnormally in the streets, causing havoc.
  • Process:
    • Athena, Hen and Chimney attend the scene. They find a homeless man knocked out by the attacker, so Chimney stays behind. Athena and Hen then discover the culprit cannibalizing someone, which Hen attributes to it as bath salts causing psychotic behavior, in this case maifesting a severe distortion highlighting Athena's outline as a monstrous humanoid. The provoked suspect turns around and creeps closer, though Hen and Athena cannot determine whether if he's armed. When tasers prove ineffective and the attacker wouldn't yield, Athena fires several live rounds and kills him, whist Hen goes over to the victim. Since live rounds were used, Chimney jokes around with Hen regarding on how should he refer to the deceased suspect if they ever get questioned. Hen gets a call from Eva being released from imprisonment, which ends some time after Athena arrives, who mentions nobody was questioned for now, though she wouldn't let her face be devoured anyway. Hen assures Athena she will be there if authorities need any witnesses. They briefly discuss Hen's family, to which Athena warns there's a point of no return, though Hen assumes they'll be fine, while Athena corrects that Karen wasn't the bomb to be set off before walking away. Athena is put behind a desk again as Jerry leads her back in the police department building, he advices her to simply obey the procedure since she was just cleared of restrictive duty, though he also supports her for making the shot. Athena shared a toxiology report with Hen, which revealed the perpetrator attacked out of desperation, as they only found alcohol in his blood, which Hen jokes that a Burger King was literally nearby.

Worm

  • Reason for 911 Call:
    • Connor thinks a creature is moving inside his body and has locked himself in the bathroom before dialing emergency services.
  • Process:
    • Though Abby didn't obtain the address on-screen, Bobby arrives with Buck and moves Paul aside, then convinces Connor to open the door. They learn he was an avid sushi fan and Paul claims he might have just suffered from diarrhea, which Connor angrily protests. Bobby cannot discover more symptoms, and Buck gets momentarily distracted. Paul eventually reveals Connor passes a lot of gas, just unwilling to reveal that near others. Just as Bobby puts on a stethoscope, Connor is overwhelmed by extreme pain and the crew take him to an ambulance which Paul accompanies. On their way to the hospital, the four discover there was actually a tape worm coming out of Connor's leg, much to their disgust and terror. Bobby advises Buck leaving the worm to the hospital as they will provide some necessary medication. However, Connor becomes too sensitive to these items and begs the crew to remove it, so Buck takes the task. Bobby tries again to refute Buck's baseless allegations of the full moon and is curious on the expertise of tapeworms, which Buck cites experience as a bartender in South America and tapeworms were common encounters. They extract the parasite and deposit it in a bag, while Connor passes out.
