Plot[]
The rallied Rangers and cops pursue Campbell to the border, where a drone finds Campbell before he shoots it down. They pinpoint his location and shoot-off occurred. Bridges gets struck from a bullet to the hand, while Carlos continued to return fire until Campbell stopped shooting. Carlos questions on why and Bridges tries to get Carlos to take the shot at Campbell but Carlos states this was unprecedented of a traitor and suggests taking Campbell alive. However, Bridges called Campbell too dangerous and orders him to fire, since Campbell killed his father, and the logins confirmed until Carlos realized that Bridges carry the same side arm that killed his father, and not only would Campbell have access to the databank, but Bridges' position would allow that too. At that point, Bridges calmly shoots Carlos in the side.
Wounded, Carlos falls to the ground and Bridges reveals he is the traitor that killed Gabriel not Campbell. Bridges reveals Gabriel had figured out somebody hacked Campbell's password and set him up, resulting in Bridges having to kill him before he could implicate him. He sarcastically congratulates Carlos for surpassing his father's intuition because he couldn't identify who. He voices his plan to kill Carlos and frame Campbell to cover his tracks, while taking the time to apologize for previously ruining Carlos' wedding and prepares to shoot. However, Campbell proceeded to save Carlos by shooting Bridges in the head, sharing a look with Carlos until collapsing from his wounds.
At the Ryder house, Judd awakes to find Owen still around and asked if he stayed the night but the latter says he let himself in after cleaning up the previous night. Judd brings up his job offer but Owen reveals he turned it down, deciding that while the job seemed good, nothing was important than helping his best friend. He mentions the sight he found and confronts Judd on not telling him on his issues. Judd tries to downplay it but then admits that Grace leaving had left him feeling empty and he turned to drinking to numb it, never indulging too much to bring trouble to Charlie.
At the hospital, Campbell awakes to being visited by Carlos who was also recovering and tells him that he was exonerated after evidence confirmed Bridges was dirty though he is sure the board plans to keep it under wraps, just that he died in line of duty. Carlos apologized for accusing him, but Campbell holds no ill will because they were misled and Carlos asks when he figured it out and Campbell reveals that he suspected Bridges was the culprit after they showed up at his house and he deduced that Bridges set him up. Both note it was money that drove Bridges and Carlos asks about the money, as Campbell reveals his record of winning poker games. The two laugh before Campbell is visited by his family who overjoyed by his innocence but his wife is still understandably hostile towards Carlos.
Much later, Carlos visits Gabriel's grave and told the latter was happy that he solved the case. He voiced his hope the Gabriel will continue to watch out for him as he takes his milestones in life, such as fatherhood which he plans to tell the observing T.K. He then leaves a picture of them together on the grave, and happily walks away with TK.
