Enzo de la Costa is the ex-boyfriend of Gwyneth Morgan and the father of her son Jonah. Although he's been mentioned several times throughout the series, he doesn't make a physical appearance until Season Five. He's portrayed by Henry Ian Cusick.
Enzo is a charming and wealthy man, that has had a major complex role in relationships of the Strand family.
History[]
Raising TK[]
Enzo had helped Gwyn raise TK when Owen wasn't available. TK has said despite Owen being his girlfriend's (at the time) ex, he should give him some slack.
Gwyn's Pregnancy[]
Gwyn finds out she's pregnant, which comes as a suprise to her and Owen. Initially they believe the baby is Owen's, until Gwyn questions the baby's paternity. Off-screen, Enzo had visited Austin eighteen weeks ago, and Gwyn had had sex with him, which lines up with the timing of her pregnancy. Owen has a disdain towards Enzo, and he a bowl in his house was offered to Gwyn by Enzo.
Gwyn gets the results back and the baby is indeed Enzo's, which causes a strain on her and Owen's relationship. She decides to leave Austin and move back to New York.
Visiting TK[]
Enzo comes to Austin with Jonah for TK's 30th birthday. He gifts him a new McClaren, TK's dream car. Owen is clearly jealous of him and things are a bit tense between them. He invites Enzo to his house for dinner to try to smooth things over between them, but their competiveness gets the best of them and they end up arm wrestling. Owen ends up breaking Enzo's arm. TK was upset with Owen for this who defended himself by reminding TK that Enzo instigated the situation something backed up by Carlos. TK did acknowledge that Enzo did do so but Owen should have been a bigger man and ignored him.[1]
Despite this, Enzo seems to hold no grudge towards him and sings karaoke with him and TK.
Arrest[]
At TK's party, the FBI arrest Enzo for fraud, conspiracy, tax evasion, and wire fraud. The car Enzo gifted TK was also seized because it was connected to his shady finances.
TK visits Enzo in jail, where he explains a start up to help bring fresh water he invested in was bogus. Thousands of his employees were about to lose their jobs so he moved money from his other job to help them. He tells TK to call his business manager to wire $2.6m for Jonah so he can get into boarding school. TK isn't so fond of the idea of Jonah being in boarding school outside of Geneva because he won't have any family around.[2] Because of this, TK starts looking into adopting Jonah.
According to TK, he has his first arraignment and is being extradited back to New York.[3]

Enzo and TK have always had a good relationship there since TK was young. Enzo often stepped up as a father figure when Owen was unable. Although Gwyn and Enzo never married, Owen referred to him as TK's stepfather.
Owen Strand[]
Owen's jealousy towards Enzo stems from his relationship with Gwyn, as well as his wealth. Owen's opinion of him didn't get any better when it was revealed Gwyn's new baby was Enzo's, not his.
However, when TK was young and Owen was absent, Enzo was the one who told him to give him some grace.
