"Dust to Dust" is the fourteenth episode of the second season of 9-1-1: Lone Star, the twenty-fourth episode overall and the season finale of the second season. It aired on May 24, 2021.

  • The same smoke machine that director Bradley Buecker used in American Horror Story: Apocalypse was used to create the dust storm effect. [2]
  • Mateo is promoted from his probie status to an official firefighter by Owen.
  • Haboob does mean massive dust storm, but it translation means blasting/drifting, it is a violent and oppressive wind blowing in summer, especially in Sudan, bringing sand from the desert, which can happen in regularly in dry land area which include Middle East, North Africa, Australia, and North America.

  • Two weeks have passed since the events of "One Day", as Tommy notes it had been two weeks since Charles's funeral.
  • Mateo mentions he has read the firefighter manual multiple times because his friends had audio recorded it for him, something they had done in "Friends Like These", where the 126 crew helped him study for his written exam by audio recording the manual for him.
