Devon is a minor character in 9-1-1. He died during a roller coaster incident.
History[]
In "Let Go", Devon and his friend, Chad are in line for a rollercoaster. Being afraid of having pressure on his stomach, Devon refuses to go on it but Chad keeps pushing for him to do it. There are two girls in line with them, and Chad says they will humilate them online if they back out, which finally convinces Devon to go on the ride. They get strapped iinto the ride, but the staff fails to make sure they're properly secured. The ride gets stuck on a loop, causing the riders to hang upside down. Chad's lap bar releases and he falls to his death, but Devon hangs on for dear life. The 118 arrive to help and Buck is tasked to help the riders. Buck lies about Chad's death to avoid Devon being more afraid than he already is. Devon gets embarrassed once he sees the crowd watching the rescue, becoming fearful this will all end up online. Buck does his best to encourage Devon to grab his hand, but he is too afraid and loses his grip, dying from the fall. This traumatizes Buck as it is his first loss on a call and Devon's sister, Liz blames him for his death.
