Carla Price is the Nurse engaged by Abigail Clark to take care of her mother Patricia Clark. She is much nicer to Abby and her mom than the former nurse and she becomes friends with Abby. Later, she begins working for Eddie Diaz by helping to take care of his son Christopher Diaz after Patricia passes away and Abby leaves Los Angeles.
Carla was assigned to care for Patricia Clark, an elderly woman who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Abigail Clark, Patricia's daughter, had had multiple previous nurses who didn't care much about her mother, however, upon seeing her for the first time, Abby knew what Carla was different.[2] While working, Carla also became a friend to Abigail Clark and encouraged her to go after the man she was swooning over, Evan Buckley. Valentines night came and Carla and Patricia nudged Abby into going out with Buck. The two women loved the dress Abby picked out for the dinner Abby and Buck had arranged.[3]

When Buck discovers that Eddie is relying heavily on his grandmother for childcare, he sets up a meeting with Carla. Christopher, Eddie's son, has cerebral palsy and as such requires more expert care than his grandmother can provide. Carla is often seen with Eddie, such as when the two go to check out a new school for Christopher, or on Halloween night when the two are getting ready to go out trick-or-treating.
