"CI2" is the third episode of the fifth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star, and the sixty-third episode overall. It aired on October 7, 2024.

Synopsis[]

The 126 race to contain a toxic chlorine cloud of death unleashed by the train derailment. Owen names the station's new lieutenant as Judd finds a path forward.

Plot[]

As the saw breaks, Owen becomes frustrated as Damon tells him to save himself but Owen voiced how he gave his word to Remy, and he will keep his promise. Owen notices the chlorine approaching, quickly telling Damon to hold his breath for as long as he can and just as they do, a horn is heard and the cart is suddenly moved. In the process, the rods trapping Damon are moved and Owen sees they are moving from the chlorine cloud. After they finally stop, Owen asks Damon if he's okay and the latter confirms but asks what caused that.

  • The production code number for this episode is #5CJW03.
  • The episode title was mistakenly released as "C12". It was later corrected to "CI2", which is the molecular formula for chlorine gas.[1]
  • Judd returns to the 126 but is now a probie since he's been gone for a year.
  • Paul is now the new Lieutenant of the 126.

Continuity[]

  • The incident where reporter Trina Mathis appeared in the bushes and grabbed the young boy Anthony was previously seen in "Both Sides, Now".
  • Owen mentions how he had lost a brother which references what had occurred in "In Sickness and In Health".
  • Carlos understanding Trevor's plight could be attributed to how he introduced TK to Iris Blake in "The New Hot Mess".
  • Damon Colfax is rescued after he was involved in the train crash in "Trainwrecks" and is reunited with his brother Remy at the hospital.
  • Station 122 Captain Andrews, who had not been seen since "A Bright and Cloudless Morning", returns in this episode.

Cultural References[]

  • Mateo once again references the 2018 film Avengers:Infinity War during his conversation with Marjan and Paul when he brings up the character Thor's contribution to the Battle of Wakanda.
