"Bad Call" is the eighth episode and winter finale of the second season of 9-1-1: Lone Star and the eighteenth episode overall. It aired on March 8, 2021.

Synopsis[]

A bank robbery, an apartment fire and a pregnant woman lost in a parking garage are the seemingly unconnected calls to which the 126 responds. Then, T.K. celebrates his one year anniversary of sobriety, while Owen and Gwyn may not make it to the end of the week as a couple. Also, Carlos finds himself working on a case with his Texas Ranger father. [2]

  • Charles' restaurant is called Sun and Salt.
  • This is the last episode of season two where Gwyn is present, and she is not seen until "Shock and Thaw" in season three.
  • Officer Mitchell's nametag shows the name Sykes, with implies that her name is Mitchell Sykes.
  • Gwyn and Owen divorced when TK was 7, which would have been late 2001/2002.
  • This is the third 'impressive guy' line we have between the Strand/Reyes men, first was in "Pilot" between Carlos and TK about Owen and the second was in "Austin, We Have A Problem" between Owen and Carlos about TK and this one was between Owen and Gabriel about Carlos.

Continuity[]

  • TK mentions his overdose and Owen bringing him to Texas back in "Pilot" a year ago, indicating more than a year has passed since the two of them moved.
  • It is revealed that during TK's injuries he suffered from the gunshot in "Monster Inside", he managed to recover without the need of pain medications, something he had struggled with prior.
  • Judd mentions about Stuart asking him and Grace for grandkids, something he had first brought up in "Awakening".
