"Austin, We Have a Problem" is the tenth episode of the first season of 9-1-1: Lone Star and the second part of the season one finale. It aired on March 9, 2020.

Synopsis[]

A solar flare wreaks havoc in Austin and Michelle learns the truth about her sister, in the second part of the two-hour season finale.[2]

Trivia[]

  • The episode's title is a reference to the famous quotation, "Houston, we have a problem" which originated from the radio communications during the Apollo 13 spaceflight.
  • Owen line's where he tells Carlos about TK that "That's my son" is a callback to the first episode, where TK tells Carlos "That's my dad" when talking about Owen.
  • This marks the last appearance of Michelle Blake.

Cultural References[]

  • The solar flare storm is a reference to the events of The Carrington Event in 1859, where solar flares hit the Earth and created an aurora borealis effect to be seen throughout the world.
