History[]
Meeting[]
The two first met in "Fools", where Eddie was struck by her beauty and amazed at her getting his name right. The talk initially goes well, with Christopher's caretaker Carla Price noting on how Eddie seemed to be into her. Unfortunately, they reach a bad start when his son gets hurt riding a skateboard. Ana was remorseful for letting this happen, but Eddie yelled at her because of the harm on his son. He later apologized for being out of line, with her accepting. In their talk, they share some more flirtation with each other.
Getting Together[]
During "Jinx", Eddie and Ana met again in a call. They now get along and he helps her after she got burned. While doing so, a mutual spark is felt between them before they part ways. Eddie later admits to Bobby he may not be ready to move on in his personal life just yet. After encouragement, Eddie decides to act on his attraction and asks Ana out, with her accepting and it goes smoothly.
In "Breaking Point", they are shown officially dating. They share some jokes while going over Christopher's school work and she doesn't pressure him on being reluctant to tell Christopher on their status, out of respect for his late wife. Eddie appreciated her sympathy, calling her an amazing woman and decides to be open to his son but receives backlash from Christopher, who gets very upset that Eddie has started dating. In a video chat, Eddie told Ana that Christopher didn't handle the news well. Ana felt guilt for coming between them and sadly told him that she'd understand if he needed a break for a while. However, Eddie assured her that he liked her and will talk to his son, telling her to not go anywhere. She was touched and smiled in agreement, and they ended the call. Much later, Eddie got Christopher on board, and he was happy to see Eddie dating Ana.
During "Parenthood", the two were seen cuddling while watching TV, before Christopher entered the room and joined them.
In "Suspicion", Ana starts spending a lot of time with Eddie and Christopher, and while things seem to be going well. Soon Carla seems to be skeptical about their relationship and advises Eddie to "follow his heart".
Relationship Strengthening[]
In "Survivors", after Eddie was shot, Ana was notified by this and entrusted Christopher to Buck while she visited Eddie. She worried for her boyfriend and stayed by his bedside while he recovered. She was elated when he awoke and notified his friends, while he thanked her for being there.
Break Up[]
During "Panic", Eddie and Christopher are tux shopping with Ana for her godsons christening. While assisting them, the store clerk mistakenly refers to Ana as Eddie's wife. Ana also shared a joke with Eddie who accepts it with a smile. Much later, Eddie experiences what he believes is a heart attack, and is transported to the hospital. The cardiologist informs Eddie that he just had a panic attack, and asks if he has recently experienced anything traumatic, and Christopher confirms that he was shot in the line of duty. The doctor believes this could be what's causing the panic attacks, but Eddie later admits that he is scared of a future with Ana, and they talk before Ana realizes where it's going. She breaks into tears before telling Eddie that he is a great father and a good man who she is happy to know. She kisses him on the cheek and leaves, signifying they have broken up.
