Synopsis[]
Following the devastating fire at the Nash home, Bobby’s fate remains uncertain, while Athena embarks on a mission to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Hen and Karen engage in a heated custody battle, while Christopher grapples with forgiving Eddie.[2]
Plot[]
After Athena brings up how she lost Emmett, Amir empathizes with her loss. He admits his resentment towards Bobby's life, though denies that he was the one who set the fire. Considering this, Athena decides to take him in for questioning at the precinct to test if he is really innocent but just as they move to the door, they see a car pull up. Several men exit the car, as Athena questions who they are and Amir states he is guessing they are the ones who really started the fire. Amir thinks they are connected to the people he and Bobby encountered, as Athena realizes the cartel has tracked the pair to LA. Amir decides to confront them, telling Athena they are here for him anyway. From the house, Athena watches as Amir surrenders to the cartel who promptly load him into the car.
That night, Amir is brought to a warehouse before Herman, the grandfather of the gangster that Amir previously killed. Herman voices how he is happy to see him again while Amir questions what the cartel are doing here in America. However, Herman declares that he was never with them and after being arrested that he was made into an informant for the feds but he was exploiting them to get his revenge on Amir. As they talk, Athena has arrived at the warehouse and promptly calls in for back-up before entering the building. Athena quickly subdues one grunt and sees Herman and Amir talking.
Amir questions Herman if he thinks the feds will let him walk after they learn he killed a Firefighter in a housefire. Herman brings up how that will be overlook with lack of evidence before stating that firefighter left him to die on the road and he had to take away what he had. Athena proceeds to pour liquid on the ground and quickly defeats another grunt and forces to him to keep quiet. Meanwhile, Amir asks Herman if he intends to hurt him like Bobby because if it is then he's too late but Herman states he was aware of that and like him, Amir has nothing to lose and nobody to count on. Disgusted by his twisted sympathy, Amir tells him to rot in Hell but Herman tells him to go first and takes out a knife to stab him. Amir braces for the pain but a noise distracts everyone and they turn to see Athena with one of Herman's men in her grip. Herman questions who she is and she answers "I'm Mrs. Bobby Nash". She drops a lighter on the liquid, setting the building ablaze.
Herman and the cartel quickly flee the scene, while Amir takes down a remaining grunt but becomes stricken with shock at the scene. Athena approaches him and has him regain his wits to escape with her and outside they find Herman and his men being arrested for their crimes.
